A leadership change after five years

Limcaoco has led BPI for five years, a period Zobel described as one of significant change for the bank, particularly in digital banking, financial inclusion, and sustainability.

He will remain a member of BPI’s board after stepping down as president and CEO, allowing him to continue serving the bank beyond the leadership transition.

Go, meanwhile, brings more than two decades of experience at BPI, including work in retail banking, digital transformation, and developing future leaders within the organization. Once she assumes the top post, she will also join the Ayala Group management committee.

The two executives are expected to work together over the coming months to help ensure a smooth handover.

What BPI customers need to know

The leadership announcement does not include any changes to BPI’s existing credit cards, deposit accounts, or other customer services. Cardholders and depositors do not need to take any action based on the succession announcement alone.

Go’s appointment will put a new executive in charge of one of the Philippines’ major banks, but the transition is planned for April 2027 and remains subject to regulatory approval.
