Overseas Filipino workers can now access SSS digital services and a digital bank account through the MySSS Card powered by RCBC DiskarTech, giving them a way to manage essential financial services while away from the Philippines.
RCBC showcased the card during the SSS Global Kabayan Day in Hong Kong from September 12 to 14, where OFWs received assistance in applying for the MySSS Card.
The card combines access to SSS digital services with a DiskarTech digital banking account and a physical debit card that can be used for everyday payments.
That setup gives OFWs a single card for SSS-related services and regular financial transactions, which can be useful for Filipinos managing their finances while living and working overseas.
RCBC also introduced SSS LoanLite, an upcoming digital lending facility that will be available through DiskarTech. Qualified SSS members will be able to apply for microloans ranging from ₱1,000 to ₱20,000, with repayment terms of up to 90 days.
The loan facility has not yet launched, but its planned integration into DiskarTech would give eligible members another way to access smaller amounts of credit through a digital platform.
The MySSS Card is part of the partnership between SSS and RCBC to expand access to digital financial services. The initiative is particularly relevant to OFWs who need to stay connected to their SSS accounts and handle everyday payments while outside the country.
For OFWs, the combination means fewer separate services to manage, with SSS access, digital banking, and debit card payments brought together through one product.
