Filipinos who want to vote in the 2028 National and Local Elections can register or update their voter records starting November 10, 2026, as the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) resumes voter registration.

The registration period will run until July 30, 2027. Applications will be accepted from Tuesdays to Fridays, including Saturdays and holidays when registration activities are scheduled.

Where to register

Applicants can visit the following registration sites:

  • Office of the Election Officer in their locality

  • Satellite or mall registration sites

  • Register Anywhere Program (RAP)

  • Special Register Anywhere Program (SRAP)

COMELEC encourages eligible Filipinos to complete their applications early rather than wait until the final weeks of the registration period.

Who can apply or update their voter records?

The resumption covers several types of applications, including:

  • First-time registration for eligible voters who have not registered before

  • Transfer of registration records for voters who have moved to another locality

  • Reactivation of deactivated voter records

  • Change of name or correction of entries in existing records

  • Inclusion or reinstatement of registration records

  • Transfer from a Foreign Service Post to a local registration site

Registered voters who belong to vulnerable sectors can also apply to update their records, including persons with disabilities (PWDs), senior citizens, and members of Indigenous Peoples and Indigenous Cultural Communities.

Why you should check your voter registration early

Keeping voter records accurate and updated helps prevent registration issues when the next elections approach.

If you have moved to another city or municipality, changed your name, or discovered that your registration has been deactivated, the upcoming registration period gives you an opportunity to address these concerns.

Eligible Filipinos who have not registered before can also use this period to prepare for their first time voting in the 2028 elections.

KKBuddies planning to participate in the next national and local polls can check with their local COMELEC office for registration requirements, schedules, and the availability of nearby registration sites.
