  • PDIC now insures deposits up to ₱1 million per depositor per bank, up from ₱500,000 before March 15, 2025. No sign-up required. No extra charge. It's automatic the moment you deposit in any BSP-licensed bank.

Your savings account, checking account, time deposit, and foreign currency deposit are all covered. Digital banks like GoTyme, Maya Bank, SeaBank, and CIMB are BSP-licensed too, and the same ₱1 million protection applies.

One more thing: PDIC coverage is per depositor per bank. If you have more than ₱1 million saved, spreading it across different banks gives each deposit its own full coverage.
