Running from June 1 to August 31, 2026, KasKas 101 is KKB's most comprehensive financial literacy campaign to date — designed to take every KKBuddy from complete credit card beginner to confident, informed user, one week at a time.
No upselling. No jargon. No gatekeeping. Just the credit card knowledge every Filipino should have had before they got their first card.
The 3-Month Roadmap:
June — Anatomy Month: "What Is a Credit Card, Really?"
We start at the very beginning. What is on the front and back of your card, and what does each element do. The difference between Classic, Gold, Platinum, secured, cashback, travel, and co-branded cards. How a transaction actually moves from your tap to the merchant's account. What your credit limit means, how banks decide it, and why keeping your utilization under 30% matters more than most cardholders realize.
If you have ever felt embarrassed asking a basic credit card question — this month is built for you. No question is too basic here.
July — Behavior Month: "How to Use It Without Losing It"
This is where most cardholders go wrong. July breaks down your Statement of Account line by line, explains the three critical dates every cardholder must know — cut-off date, statement date, due date — and covers every fee and charge that quietly eats into your finances: finance charges, late payment fees, overlimit fees, cash advance fees, and foreign transaction fees. The month ends with KKB's definitive Credit Card Do's and Don'ts — shareable, saveable, and built from real Filipino cardholder experiences.
August — Mastery Month: "Level Up: The KKBuddy's Playbook"
By August, Buddies will be ready to go deeper. The full credit card acronym glossary — APR, SOA, MAA, CVV, EIP, MCC, EMV, and more — explained in plain language with real Philippine examples. The basics of credit scores and the CIC (Credit Information Corporation) in the Philippines. A complete guide to maximizing rewards, cashback, and travel miles from your existing cards. And a final graduation celebration for every Buddy who made it through all 13 weeks.
